Hey gang!
Wanted to give some quick thoughts on the album, life updates, and a bit of a trigger warning since Ashworld does contain some heavy themes and I wanted to talk about that. So firstly:
- I'm doing great right now! Currently studying abroad (its my first time living in a city) and I'm kinda loving it! There's a lot to do but there's also a lot of work to be done in and out of school. So whenever I get the chance I go out with friends and explore, or stay in and play like lethal company, marvel rivals or somethin, depends on how me and my friends are feeling.
- I feel like Timothy And Change: Chapter 2 (Ashworld) lyrically can be hard on those currently struggling with depression or some other mental health issue robbing them of deserved happiness, but I also think I couldn't have made the entirety of the Timothy And Change vision without this chapter. It's a necessary artistic chapter to show in the process of Timothy and Change and really do it justice, I feel like I would be lying if I didn't include some suffering in Timothy and Change since really the album series at its core is about growing up and what that means to me from my own experiences. So just a heads up, the themes are heavy, but I think it's a good thing that I acknowledged them the way that I did in this album (well, you'll see!).
That's about it, I'm really excited for you guys to hear this! It's my best attempt to showcase the darkness that we all conjure on ourselves and therefore each other from what we believe the world to be, never what it is. I don't think we will ever know that fully, and I think that is part of the fun of it. I think it's the wonder that drives me to keep trying, keep seeking and running after that light on the horizon that never can be understood, only run toward.
So yeah, Timothy And Change: Chapter 2 (Ashworld) comes out at 12:00 AM EST Tomorrow! See you there...
Best,
-Ben (Hevisto)
